Google, the next microsoft?

I have a fear…justified or not, but it’s there…Microsoft is dying and another monster is already there waiting impatiently to grab that big piece of technological and IT meat…that’s google!
Just like microsoft, google is there to make maximum profits! And it is making sure to overshadow all the groups that helped give Microsoft deadly blows.
One of the most evident sign of google’s devilishness can be seen in Knol…designed to kill wikipedia (our beloved wikipedia!).
I think it is now high time to start becoming anti-google!

Yes being Anti-Google seems to be the trend nowadays. At least, Google provides some free services.

It’s something even worse than Microsoft… It wants to takeover the whole digital world!!!
Knoll is only part of it, there’s Android, Google Apps, Google OS & i don’t know what more sordid projects…

Seriously – it’s been long since Google started to act “Evil” (refer to privacy issues involving the data mining). Of course, MS and even Yahoo have practiced evil when it comes to users’ data (refer to Chinese issue).
You can’t counter evil. you avoid it hoping that some mighty company will show up to save the day. So far, Sun is doing a good job. But when it comes to search and web applications, it’s kinda hard to find an angelic company.
Google is NOT the next microsoft though. MS is meant to stay. So is Google but it’s more active, trying to buy startups which innovate. I miss my writely which turned into googledocs. Innovation is good until you hit a brick. I’m glad that Google avoided the hit once by getting rid of videos.google.com after it bought youtube. It did hit the brick by “copying” yahoo answers. What happened? It closed its yahoo answers copycat. The same may happen to knoll. Wikipedia, wikimedia, wikiquote, and now Wikia are quite cool even with their flaws.
Whatever happens to Android in the near future will depict Google’s “experimentation” in the mobile area.
“I think it is now high time to start becoming anti-google!” Instead, I suggest you avoid being a zealot promoting hatred. Show admiration to some new innovative companies meant to change the world as we know it.

Google is becoming too powerful.
Remember they are the first search engine, adsense is the best advertising platform, gmail the best free email and the list goes on…
Now I clearly think that Knol will beat wikipedia…Since publishers will get money from their adsense ads on it, people will be more interested to contribute to knol that wikis…

Yeah Google is taking over the web…Feedburner too is Google owned now.

LOL – so, Google has Feedburner, and so what?! Yahoo Pipes is as good as Feedburner. There are many alternatives which are better than Google products. E.g Would a KDE4 user running a 6 year old PC prefer to run Google Earth or stick to Marble?
One should never follow the masses. One should follow one’s needs and pick the most innovative and efficient products.
Google is “taking the web” (the impression one may have) because you use its products. The users in the Yahoo bastion probably think of the same thing for Yahoo.

anywayz, you can’t go against google, and even if google is avid for control and power, that which you call evil, (note that i would have done the same in their place), you can do nothing but to follow, or to innovate.
You find the google is evil? well the devil is evil also, but it never hurts to play with the devil and get some personal benefits from it na?
roush, i as an individual can’t do anything against google, besides, i use google’s services A LOT, and the bigger google gets, the better it seems for the moment… the only thing that as an individual we must all do is that, we must know about the truth that google has become very powerful and can hurt us later, so we must think of twice before getting addicted to google’s stuffs.
