Job hunting till i get my perfect job: World’s President!

Greetingz everybody . Ok, first of all, i apologize ( also most of u know it’s faked…but still…) for being late by 1 day in publishing this blog post! Indeed, c dure dure  la vie qu’on mene quand on travaille (life is tough when one works).

I started with small jobs since a very young age, I still remember selling bananas for my Grandma when i was in primary. But fear not, it was not the desperate need for money that made me a banana seller and i was not forced either…I did it simply for fun :p I really enjoyed doing that,  and best of all, some people bought the banana not because they wanted those, but rather because I was the seller !That’s not all, I was even a vegetable seller in the Market at Rose Belle :p

After my HSC, i worked with my cousin in his mobile phone shop in Port Louis, job position: a mixture of sales-boy and customer care.

And when my BSc neared it’s end a days before the last exam papers, I started sending templated job application emails to dozens of IT companies in Mauritius. Well, i knew using template was no good at all, but i was kind of frustrated actually: I wrote 2 or 3 individual application letters and those companies did not even bother answering back.

From the dozens of companies receiving templated applications, ONE replied. We’ll refer to it as company A. In fact, someone from company A phoned me and asked me to come for an interview at Ebene. Was a very informal kind of interview, in Creole and at the end of that ‘interview’ i was offered a job position as trainee web developer.Stayed with that company hoping that it will be The one.Unfortunately, company A didn’t meet my expectation at all. (they seem to be exploiting their employees!)

Some days later, company B sent me an email, asking me for an interview and things start getting more interesting at this point….[i have to go watch stargate atlantis which my friend provided me with, so the job hunting post will continue tomorrow :p]

Snow in Mauritius!

“Snow in Mauritius!”??? lolz, why not?

So, first of all, bad news to all those of u who wished i was no more: Am still alive :p And for those who have been missing me my blog posts for all these days, there’s good news: An avalanche of posts will be published as from now, so arm yourself with enough time to read them all

These days I’ve been a bit busy, cleaning up my 3 years of university thingies from the pc, and also job hunting. More about this job-hunt in my next post. In one sentence: finding jobs in the IT sector for fresh graduates in Mauritius these days is quite an easy task, companies are waiting for us…but finding the right job which suits you is a bit hard and also includes some luck.

I was wondering, if there’s so much climatic changes worldwide and in mauritius, winter is here before it’s supposed to, why not having snow in mauritius…possible or not? Am not a meteorologist (specially not one of those from the vacoas station…) But i personally beleive in it :p Thus, as a tip to business-minded people, i would suggest that you start look for suppliers of sport equipments for snow, you’ll definitely have a ‘fair’ advantage over others

I want to create something…a thing that i dont know

With my BSc in computer science and engineering nearly over (only the project presentation pending for 11th of june), I now feel that I should create something or improve something in a way other have not thought about :p

In fact, i want to have my own success story just like the google, facebook and other stuff guyz got theirs. But with a major difference though, i shall go beyond their success I shall become the world’s president

Some of the ‘requirements’ of my future creation:

1. Shall be computer related (i’m a computer science student…so…)
2. Shall be exciting
3. Shall be innovating
4. Shall enable me to grab my MSc  in computer science :p
5. Shall allow my name to be the only ‘roushdat’ on search engine results (i think this requirement has already been covered :p)
6. And most important of all, shall contribute towards my ultimate goal of world presidency

I would have asked you guyz to give me ideas….but then, if you had ‘The idea’, wouldn’t you have go forward with it yourself…why would you give it to me? :p

Anyways, I waaaaaaant something newwwwwwwww!

And yeah, there’s a cool trip to Chamarel Adventure  Park scheduled for the 28th of June 2008. More information about the adventure itself can be obtained from http://www.parc-aventure-chamarel.com/
