IS result??? Where is it :S

Update (18th July) : IS result finally published today

Well, there are rumours spreading that due to the high number of failures in IS, results are being analysed, reprocessed and all :S

Bis L’Escalier ??? Ladans ki ena cinema!

First of all, I apologise to all my non-mauritian readers because I’m planning to write this post in our mauritian dialect: Creole. But don’t worry, it’s just an exception

Kuma bocou parmi zot coner, le future president, li reste dans 1 ti vilaz dans sud-sud-est moris ki apel L’Escalier. Malgres so tipti, li maru super devloper, Pour preve: Depi asser longtemps mo ena connection internet, MyT tou ena ici! (mo cone ena dimoune ki reste flaq ki aster fek gagne MyT….zot pas ti mem ena colone, ou cav croir?). Bon, 1 lot zour mo continuer raconte zot ki ena cumsa encore lor sa Lescalier la, azordi, nou pou cibler bane Bis Lescalier, surtou bane ki sorti Lescalier pou al Curepipe and back to Lescalier.

A p pres, distance lescalier to Portlouis li deux fois plis ki distance Lescalier to Curepipe. 1 bis  prend 1hour20mins parla pou al portlouis depi lescalier. Mais bane bis ki al curepipe, zot prend 1hour30mins zot! Excepter bonere gramatin et tard dans lapres midi, lerla zot prend 1 hour!

Aster lor lagar curepipe, “Rosebel, New-grove, Plaine Magnien, L’escalier….” Controllere li pou reste crier em pendant 15-20minite la….et sa maniere li crier, li mars toujour la, ou cav commence galouper pou pas rate bis la tou. Sofere la li, li roule 2-3 metres….faire croir li p aller, lerla li re-met 1 arriere….

Zordi em, mo trouve 1 tifi ki ena pou dessane 3 bistop apres lagar curepipe, rente dans bis lescalier. Li ti bien cav rente dans bis mahebourg ki demarer avant…mais controlere lescalier ine bien faire so travail….Tifi la assiz 15mins dans bis la lor la gare…alor ki li ti cav fini rente so lakaz :p Bane zenes, prend compte, controlere lescalier bien malin sa :p

Moi, mo touzour rode place cot vitre pou assizer….cav dormi bien…si pas gagne vitre pou apiyer, b ena grand possibiliter mo dormi lor zepol dimoune em (mo baver tou hein). Mo pas coner kifer, mais bien souvent, c bane madame ek zot ti zenfant ki assiz a coter moi. Bane zenfant malelver mo dir ou….1 ti garcon zordi, li met so lamain dans la bouche, apres li trape mo sac….li met so soulier sal lor mo pantalon…so mama pas remarker em li. Mo get zenfant la gro lizier, li trouve sa comik, li commence riyer….

Arive cot bistop kfc, 1 group madam rente dans bis la…Coment zot rentrer cumsa, 1 parfum kentucky rempli bis….Zot assiz devant moi, derriere moi tou et commence dechire zot lacuisse poule. Ti 6:15pm parla sa….sa lere la mo p mort de faim, p pense pou al diner lakaz, gagne sa parfum poule la :S Mo lestomac dechirer….mo nene ouverttt. Bane camarade, cot nou p aller dans sa pays la….dimounes pena respect zot prochain, zot mange zot kentucky sans meme prend compte ki dimoune acoter zot la pou envi manzer li si…

Mo seye pas met lizier em….mais mo pane cav control mo nene, pas foutiiii! Mone met nene em lor zot poule. Pas mem 5 minite apres, mo tend p crier derriere moi: “done li plastikkkkk….pas coner kifer line rempli lestomac cumsa……Buuuuuuuuuurk buuuuuuuuurk”, 1 ladans p vomi so kentucky…..

ene lot Bis top, ene papa p risse so tifi p met dans bis….Tifi colez…p moV plorer.Copain p faire byebye lor trotoir….Parete coment dir papa ine al maye tifi en plein action sa.Pas bizin dir ou…bane madame autour moi commence zot ti palab : “eutaaa get coment li p plorer….papa la em coment 1 soular, so figuire cass casser…ayoo tifi la meriter, sa lere la reste dehor….ayooo nou pas cav rente ladans, cumsa em ti ariV dans viole trianon la, dimoune ine trouver mais pas cav rentrer….”. Pli comik….quand arive plaine magnien, papa, piti dessane, papa rente direk dans bar al tap so ti drink….tifi ki atane li dehor sa cou la!

Dans bis lescalier ena de tou…ziska mem leducation seksuel…Lot zour la, couple copain copine assiz derriere moi sa…phewwww, mone gagne 1 lesson gratuit….tifi la p explik lor menstruation, perle blanche, coment senti, quand gagner etc….garcon explik lor ereksion….sakene p comparer, garcon dir pou tifi pli compliker, tifi pas daccord, li dir garcon pli compliker….Plis comik, ti ena 1 grand mere p assiz acoter moi…mo croir grand mere em pas ti atane pou tend sa kaliter cozer la….

Enfin, tous les zours mo p voyaz dans sa bane bis la….imper palab ek cinema ki mo a p tender ek geter….et lor la ,c gratos (enfin mo encore paye 3/4…)

Ownership of toy-guns is punishable by Mauritian law :S

“Pas faire mover, lapolis pou trap twa!”…Some parents have been using this threat with their kids for quite some time now…Well, we all know that these were nothing more than blank threats right? NOT anymore :S

And now…

“kid: pa, acheter 1 fizi delo pou mwa…”

“dad: Ki to gagner, to envi al dans prison?”

Seriously, are these Mauritian politicians really serious about it? Those among you who still dont have an idea about what i’m talking about, check this out:

Interdiction de posséder ou d’importer des jouets en forme de pistolets et de fusils.

La police a émis un communiqué à la presse hier pour rappeler à la population que les jouets en forme de pistolets ou fusils sont considérés comme des objets interdits. Leur importation et possession enfreignent l’article 31 de la Consumer Protection Act. Elles sont condamnables d’une amende n’excédant pas Rs 100 000 et une peine de prison ne dépassant pas trois ans.

Since i was a kid, i enjoyed playing with guns…and i can hardly imagine a kid’s life without toy-guns :S And yeah, as a result of such bans, in some 20years, i can imagine a new police recruit asking his instrutor: What’s this black object sir?…Cause perhaps by that time, movies depicting guns will also be heavily censored

So who among you have toy-guns? Lolz…i dont have any…i just have a bow and few arrows for sports :p

Computer Science and Engineering results for final year students published!

Finally, the long awaited moment: Final year results! My friend Nishna came to congratulate me on msn this evening saying that I passed without elaborating much (She wanted it to be a surprise :p). Finally i came to know that I’ll be graduating as first class :p

Today itself, while getting back home, i was thinking about blogging about the results, how we , students are kept in the dark about the date the results will be out…and also the very sad fact that results are not published on the university’s website. WHY??? Other universities do it, why not UoM??? I wish to have your views about this…wouldnt it have been better for the results to be put online? Privacy? well, put only student IDs!
