Update (18th July) : IS result finally published today 
Well, there are rumours spreading that due to the high number of failures in IS, results are being analysed, reprocessed and all :S
Here’s one of the rumours posted as comment anonymously….by “guess who” :S

Instead of criticising the work of others…dnt u think it was better you created the CSE Society???? And held a farewell party too???
For those who think that rechecking of results is being done just because of the farewell party…then its very narrow minded to think so. The results are being rechecked and passing marks is being taken up because too many students will fail. WHen u talk abt 3rd year CSE students who failed in one module…its a minim compared to the amount of failure we are expecting this year.
By the way all that we heard till now are just rumours….

1)Nou fine faire ene farewell party pou nou ban lecturers pou montrer ki nou fine apprecier sa 3 ans ki noune passer dan l’uni avec ban la; pas pou amadouer zot, pou zot alle sanze nou resultats.
2)Resultats IS(plus others like ICT) ine prend le temps pou release, parceki faculty board pou li ine tarder(board ine approve sa Mercredi sa semaine la). Nou resultat ti fini paret depi longtemps, ek nou sire parceki banne lecturer ine dire nou. De toute facon, li ti against regulations pou affiche resultats CSE autant bonheur – hence ban la ine ré tire ban resultats ki ti afficher la.
3)Zot pe vine rode laguerre ar nou parceki zot pena nanier pou faire. Kav blog la ti pe marse impe slow, alors zot desesperer pou gagne ban viewers. Au lier zot koz nimporte, alle faire ene travaille ki utile(couma balier la rue ou soit zot cheap mind).

You may want to remove that comment…. i don’t believe you are allowed to know what happens internally in uom… you might put that lecturer in an uneasy situation.. you need to be responsible for what you say, so take care…
against the regulation to display result early?? lol please enlighten me on that… since i believe i haven’t seen that anywhere…
note: for not sounding nasty… I AM AGAINST USING MARKS [as in biased exams] TO JUDGE PEOPLE, its just too biased i believe and it means nothing… i don’t see anyone any different whether they failed or not, its not as if i never failed… the whole point i believe from what the other CSE students “might” be frustrated about is probably that … there is a justice a deux vitesse.. i.e either the same rules applies to all or it doesn’t apply to anybody… you understand? No one is trying to act superior .. [ohh minus me, i am just superior because i just am god or the devil :p.. joke]
enfin, why do i have to always appear bad to your people when infact i am trying to clear what the cse persons said… is it that IS students are like kids and don’t and can’t keep neutral and read the posts completely before replying?? Enfin si in some way there are some posts that are rude, for example accusing the farewell party to be a sort of bribe… but the rest i don’t believe its even against the IS people… its against the system i believe…. you haven’t noticed? [or are you all blinded by hate ?]

Indeed Avish, i strongly disagree that people think the some CSE think they are better than IS students because of their results. But maybe its just that IS students have network design and services allocated for them only and the CSEs are deprived of that course… [enfin maybe its just that the IS people don't do anything tough technically?] /just a neutral guess sa?

coz there are many IS students who are far much better than the best one you have in CSE this year… the guys with highest CPA and going to do 3rd this year is one of my college friend…and even he admit that in some field some IS students are better!
And now no need to praise yourself or your friend just because you are so damn good at theory or programming on PAPER!!!! Practise is the real one…..

But y is it that there has been 5 meetings to make IS ppl pass? If the modules were almost the same as you say (and they are), why a better treatment? Why were their results deemed as not “displayable” and hence re-considered 4 times before being put on the notice board?
If the modules are almost the same, the level of the students the same, lecturers same, department same… then why the heck did they have that favor?
There are CSE ppl who failed just one final yr module and has to come back a whole year for it, while some IS guys have had their marks up-ped to make their results “displayable”… Is that logical???
Well, as it is, maybe we should tell all CSE freshers to get their asses into IS rather, not because IS is better or CSE is worse, just because they would be assured of ending their degree in due time, because failure is now something not deemed fit for the IS ppl by the UoM ppl… That’s how it is… Sadly so… Or maybe tell UoM freshers to keep away from UoM totally, seeing how the administration handle these things… Meritocracy does not really exist… Enfin…
At this point, I wonder where is the difference between UoM and some well-known (and quite old) paid Tertiary institution in Mauritius, where failure of a student usually corresponds to the sacking of the lecturer… and hence, almost always students pass there… Some ppl will know what I’m talking about…
